Doug Willits, G.R.I., SRES

Doug is a Broker Associate with Ricci Realty and has been a top producer every year since joining the company. He holds the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation and is proud to be in the elite 4% of all Realtors nation-wide that hold this prestigious designation. In addition to the GRI, Doug is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). This additional 104 hours of education has enabled Doug to more thoroughly serve his clients by better understanding the complexities of buying and selling various types of residential, commercial and investment properties. Doug is also a Certified Real Estate Appraiser and uses this specific training as an aid in determining property values – a critical step for the seller to determine list price and an important element in counseling a buyer during the offer stage of the purchase.  

 Working primarily in Orange, Orange Park Acres, Tustin and Santa Ana, Doug is also knowledgeable in other Orange County cities as a result of his experience in selling and appraising in those areas.

 Doug is a Michigan native and relocated to Orange after serving in the USAF. He earned his BA in Communications at Chapman University and an MA in Communications from CSU Long Beach. After graduation from Chapman, Doug worked for the City of Orange as an Audio Visual Specialist before entering the electronics industry. He co-founded Circuit Products West and Pacific Circuit Supply beginning a string of successful companies supporting the printed circuit board industry globally.

 Active at Chapman University, Doug serves on the Board of Governors, the executive board of the alumni association, and is a member of the Dean of Education’s Special Advisory Board. In 2010, he received the Alumnus of the Year Award. In the community, he is past President of the City of Orange Public Library Foundation, a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation Care for the Poor Committee, a member of the Orange Community Foundation, Orange Elks, and a graduate of Leadership Orange.

 Doug and his wife Susie have two children (Kelsey Willits Raymond and Ben Willits), and two grandchildren (Kaden & Finley). They reside in East Orange.
